This auction is looking like a toy auction. We’ve had so many toys arrive, from different vendors, it’s looking a bit like Christmas. For those not interested in toys we do have lots of other collectables.
Items include: a 1920s Felix the Cat straw filled toy, Micro Models, Peters, Shell trucks, Scalextric cars, Dinky toys, Austin Powers, Star Wars, Waddle shooting game, Beswick wall birds, watches, records, Bakelite and anodised canisters, c1888 2 x Vol Set – Victoria and its Metropolis – Past and Present, first edition Norman Lindsay, footy cards, Aboriginal Tnanjabi Woven Basket, cast metal tractor seats, musical instruments, Australian pottery, ceramics, glass, a bath tub and a 1930s oil burner exit sign.
Art includes works by the following artists: Violet McInnes, William Gilbert Collins, Joyce Meier, Karl Duldig, Donald James Hamilton, Eolo Paul Bottaro, Thomas G Wells, Ernest Vogel, Greg Allen, Aileen Brown and others.
Our last auction saw high prices paid for stereo equipment, medals, mid century modern ceramics, toys, silver flatware and motoring items.
It was also nice to see a few more faces in the room bidding even though it was a chilly night.
